I have "rock wall painting" in my future.

No oil

We just got back from Apalachicola, FL. No oil!!!! The gulf is beautiful at this point. Check out the Chicken Bucket List about the food on the Forgotten Coast here.

Turkeys!

I went out the Biological Field Station at Ole Miss this morning with a couple of my colleagues. We had a Mississippi safari. We saw wild turkeys (in pens), geese, beaver dams, and lots of ponds. I may take some students out there next semester for drawing class. It was so close and very cool.

This painting is finally moving along. I think I will be done with it by the end of the month. I also have my sewing machine out. I need to do some more cutting and sewing before I can take a picture.

It isn't easy paintin' green

This is the painting that I am working on. It is hard painting all that greenery. This is just a detail- I'll pull back the more I do.


Here are some drawings that I have done. Sometimes, I need some "instant gratification." The paintings take months and the drawings take hours.

I have my last exam today! I will be showing up here much more often.
