MAD MAD World

Kevin is here in the city with me so we decided to get our craft on. We visited the Museum of Art and Design (MAD) on Columbus Circle.  It was my first time to the museum and it really had some nice things. I would recommend it to anyone!

Here are some of my favorite things. The first show was all about dioramas, called Otherworldly in art. Some were sculpture and some were for photography. They showed both the diorama and the finished photographs. This show asked some really interesting questions about truth of photography and craft.

Alan Wolfson,  Canal Street Cross section
Amy Bennett- This paintings is about 2 inches square and the model below is that tiny as well.

James Casabere, "Landscape with Houses, Duchess County, NY"
Kevin is looking at a Micheal McMillen diorama. He lectured at CGU while I was there.
